ANNIVERSARY

Celebrating 15 Years of Simons Searchlight: Spotlight in Rare Revolution Magazine

The more we can work together across rare diseases, the faster we’re all going to grow. For a relatively small investment of families’ time and information, the faster we accelerate the process.

Wendy Chung, MD, PhD, Simons Searchlight Principal Investigator

Rare Revolution Magazine is highlighting Simons Searchlight’s 15th anniversary, celebrating the progress, partnerships, and discoveries that have shaped our global community.

The feature includes reflections from Dr. Wendy Chung, Principal Investigator, and Dr. Kelsey Martin, EVP of Autism & Neuroscience at the Simons Foundation, alongside voices from our community:

  • Carole Bakhos (PPP2R5D) — participant since 2017
  • Christie Abercrombie (16p11.2 duplication) — participant since 2010

For 15 years, families, researchers, and advocates have come together to advance understanding of rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorders. Looking ahead, Simons Searchlight will continue to grow through collaboration and innovative technology—bringing faster, more meaningful insights to the families and researchers we serve.

None of this progress would be possible without our incredible community. Thank you for being part of this journey!
